This Call for Proposals is published under the 2012 Annual Action Programme of the European Union for the Industrialised Countries Instrument (ICI), budget line 19.05.01 of the European Commission. It is designed to pursue the objectives of the EU-GCC Cooperation Agreement, signed in 1988 and the implementation of the Joint Action Programme, endorsed in 2010, by the EU-GCC Joint Council and Ministerial Meeting in Luxemburg. The Joint Action Programme sets a number of key strategic areas within the scope of the Cooperation Agreement and reflects the shared ambition of the EU and the GCC to reinforce their cooperation, within a three year timeframe.
The European Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments invites proposals on the topic of transporτ
Policy discussions, exchange of technical expertise and business models to promote sustainable,
energy-efficient and environmentally friendly transport co-modality, i.e. an optimal
combination of various modes of transport within the same transport chain.
Specific objectives are:
- to promote exchanges of information and dissemination of expertise between political, economic and social partners, together with other civil society and non-state players
- to test new ideas with different players and provide feedback to the Commission.
