The 3rd Meeting of the MENA Hydrogen Alliance, organised by Dii, co-hosted by EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network and supported by Hydrogen Europe and CleanTech Business Club, will take place on Wednesday 20 May 2020 at 10.00 CEST.
The MENA Hydrogen Alliance was launched in 2020 to accelerate the development of value chains for green molecules and eventually economies in the region and brings together the private and public sector and academia. Under the umbrella of Desertec 3.0, Dii Desert Energy acts as neutral advisor to elaborate business cases and to educate different stakeholders on proposition, technical implications and economics of green hydrogen/molecule production and transport. The possibility to export green molecules of different forms to Europe and world markets is analysed with all implication.
Following the first stakeholders’ consultation in January at WFES (hosted by Masdar) and the official launch at InterSolar ME on 4th March 2020, the 3rd meeting of the MENA Hydrogen Alliance provides a review on recent activities, as well as agreeing on scope of the alliance’s work until the rest of 2020. This particular edition will focus on connecting MENA to Europe by fostering a regional partnership between Europe, North Africa and the Middle East to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen projects and local value chains.
